We had the excellent A Plastic Rose take stage in the Loft on Friday night for their special pledgers show. The gig was an intimate affair with a very limited number of tickets available. The guys played a great set comprising of their latest album Flickering Light Of An Inner War from start to finish as well as audience requests which included Indian sheets, Oceans, My Avalanche and much more. Thanks to the APR guys for making it a night not to forget in our studio.
Drink and Draw was back this week for our second of the year so far. It was a great wee night and excellent to see new faces attending. Johney Sung was this Months winner and he took home some chocolates and a gift voucher provided by our awesome sponsor Ink Monkey. Thanks to all who made it down, we’re looking forward to next month already.
Drink and Draw returned to LOFT on 27th January and it was great to have a wonderful turnout! This time around we were kindly sponsored by InkMonkey Belfast who not only supplied pens, pencils and paper for the avid sketchers but also a voucher and a box of chocolates for the winning drawing on the night! There was also a signed drawing by LOFT member Brian Kielt up for grabs.
After a good 80 minutes of drawing and banter it was voting time and this little beauty of DLB in an immense illustrative style was the runaway winner:
The Winning Drawing
The winning picture by Fergal O’Donnell was nearly in double figures for votes! Congratulations to Fergal who walks away with the voucher for ink monkey store on North Street, an original drawing by a LOFT member and a box of chocolates! Not a bad Tuesday!

A huge thanks to all who braved the cold, wet weather to join us and to Tommy and Jen from InkMonkey for sponsoring the event!
The next drink and draw event will return in February!
